Cesena to Bologna♐️

Saturday morning, we woke up at 10:15 am to hit up the local markets near Roberta’s home. They were so amazing! Such a good way to shop for unique things (even though I didn’t buy anything there). Everything was so cute!
After the markets, on our way home, we stopped by the chocolate market (all homemade chocolate)! They have this type of chocolate made out of salami, and it is so good! I got a mint chocolate ball, and it reminded me of my mom 🙂 She loves mint, so I got it in honor of her and Mom – since I know you’re reading this, it was amazing! I wish I could have brought it home for you.

We went and cleaned the house, packed, and walked towards the train station after the chocolate. We then got lunch and got onto a train to Bologna! It only took roughly an hour to get to Bologna, and we checked our bags into a place at the train station for only 5 Euros each.

We explored Bologna until 1 am, which was when our bus was leaving for Rome.
For the first two hours in Bologna, Katie, Roberta, and I went shopping, and I got the cutest pair of light short boots with a heal and I’m obsessed with them. We then went to the city center and met a nice Italian boy at the fountain! He was really nice!
After that, we walked Roberta to the train station at 8:45 and got our bags since the baggage place closed at 9 pm, and Roberta left for Milan. It was sad seeing her and Katie say goodbye! They are definitely sisters at heart!
Katie and I spent hours at a McDonald’s just killing time until our bus left. We couldn’t connect to wifi and it was a long, couple of tired hours. McDonald’s was a hangout place for Italians there before and after going out, which makes me laugh because back at home, it would never be like that! They are much nicer here, though.
We walked to the bus station and got on the bus early! We got two seats each and a table across from each other, which was nice since our bus was from 1 am to 6 am.
I slept horribly! Probably got 3 hours of sleep in total. It was rough, but I’m honestly so glad we did it!
WE EVENTUALLY MADE IT TO ROME!!
