Croatia – Wednesday

We woke up at 3 am and left at 4 am! We had the cars parked by the dorms and left on time. Warda, Matt, Brandon, and I were all in a blue skoda and it was the best.

Oh my gosh, driving in the Czech Republic was something else. We were fine through the city because nothing was happening, but once we got on the highway, the game changed. It was all under construction, and it was still dark out. Luckily, Brandon and Matt handled it well in our car, and we were following Grant’s car, so it worked out well. The highway was about 1.5 lanes, and we would have to pass semis in the half lane with a giant barrier on the other side! It was definitely challenging to determine when to go. We passed the beautiful countryside of the Southern Republic, which was stunning. Well, we lived to make it into Austria! It was so interesting getting out of the Czech Republic with the construction. Austria is absolutely beautiful! I remember it being pretty as a kid, but oh my goodness, it’s gorgeous. I saw a sign with “Schreiber,” which is my mom’s maiden name, within two minutes of being in Austria! It was really fun to see. The fields are so green with beautiful yellow flower fields!

We drove through Slovenia too, and it was absolutely beautiful!! I love driving through places!! Croatia was the only place that actually stopped us and questioned us. We had to give them our passports, and the man asked if we were studying in Europe, and we said yes, and he asked where, and when we replied Prague, he just laughed. We asked why, and his response was, “A lot of beer there!” That explains our city for ya!

We are currently driving to get to Zadar, and it is absolutely stunning here already! So many hills and trees. My type of place ❤️

We arrived and checked into our Airbnb, and it’s a beautiful house. We have the bottom floor, and the boys have the top! We went and watched the sunset and ate dinner (I had tuna)! We ate at a cute restaurant with lights hanging outside. We got home and went to bed after hanging out with all 20 people in the group.
