ISA took us to a town called Karlovy Vary this weekend! We left early Friday morning on a bus, and there were maybe 20 people going.

My friends Madi and Seth were the only people I really knew going, so it was a nice day to just get to know people.

Karlovy Vary is a spa town closer to Germany than Prague. It was so beautiful!!!

We did a walking tour and saw where they hold their film festival there every year, and a James Bond movie was also filmed there. It’s stunning! I had such a fun time walking around and seeing an old spa town.

In Karlovy Vary, they have many fountains that you can stick your water bottle under and get water out of. You have to be careful not to drink too much, though, because if you drink too much of the cold or hot one, you can get either diarrhea or constipation. That’s what they are known for.
If you try to put the hot water in a water bottle, you will burn yourself. It is so hot that most people put them in these special cups. They are beautiful and provide good protection from the steaming hot water.

After exploring the small town, we went on a hike

 

Being in the woods again was such an amazing feeling. I honestly loved it so much. I missed the smell of the woods. I almost cried, I was so happy!

After the hike, we went on a tour of the local liquor store and got samples! It was so much fun

Overall, I had such a nice day and stayed the rest of Saint Patrick’s Day weekend in Prague. It was a nice weekend, but I was still so sick!
