Carine in Brussels

Quick blog post so I don’t ever forget what I’m feeling right now.

Tonight, Taylor and I decided to try couch surfing in Brussels. Our flight landed at basically 11 pm, and we headed straight to downtown Brussels on a shuttle. About two nights ago, we decided to book all of this for today. We suck at planning!

LUCKILY, we found Carine on Couchsurfing! A middle-aged woman who has two children and was willing to let us stay with her for free for the night. Literally free! She stayed up for us until we made it to her house, and she even fed us a meal and made us tea!!! How sweet!!

She’s like the mom neither of us has here!!

It is around 1 a.m., and we are going to sleep soon, but I am so thankful and grateful for the good people still left here on this earth! We only had about an hour to converse with Carine, and we won’t even see her in the morning, yet she was still willing to help us out!

GOD IS SO GOOD. Carine is such a blessing, and I feel honored to be her guest! Hopefully she’s as good as I say and that I am alive tomorrow morning to tell you about Bruges and Brussels πŸ˜‰
